ABOUT

The Lake Sirens are not your typical band, we’re a sisterhood of women over 50, bound by friendship, laughter, and the wild magic of music in the Malibu mountains. What began as a spontaneous, slightly terrifying moment being pulled up on stage at our little community Halloween event, sparked something none of us could have imagined.

We didn’t just want to sing; we wanted to get better. And we did.

From those first shaky harmonies, we found ourselves swept into extraordinary moments: standing under the lights with Rick Springfield, and later, the surreal honor of singing background for Anders Osborne at JazzFest. Each step has been a mix of disbelief, joy, and a shared determination to keep growing together.

At the heart of it all, though, is something bigger than music - our friendship. That connection is the thread that holds every note, every lyric, and every dream we chase.

The music is extremely high quality - recorded with rock star musicians, like Bob Glaub and Chad Cromwell who is a Neil Young drummer and collaborator: our song David Bowie features Scott Thurston of the Heartbreakers. Our tracks are recorded at Olive Grove Sound in Malibou Lake and Addiction Sound in Nashville and mixed by Jesse String and David Kalmusky.

The Lake Sirens were profiled in the Malibu Times after singing in front of 24,000 people at New Orleans Jazz Fest for Anders Osborne. It was crazy for us - we all live normal lives going from carpool drivers for teenagers to standing on that main stage with all those audience members within a matter of months. Rick Springfield was quoted calling us “hot babes” when we were on the stage just before the Foo Fighters. It was all so fun.

Our journey has been just as wild ever since, from recording in Nashville to getting hyped by icons Howie Mandel and Betsey Johnson, all while having the best time ever making music. The Lake Sirens want to learn from the experts, and are open to any advice or referrals, as we try to help our music find its way.

We Are California (8/16/25) is the first of 3 upcoming independent releases from The Lake Sirens.

GINA  MARCIONE

Gina Marcione was born and raised in the valley of Los Angeles. Like, oh my God! Her dad was a television director, but his true passion was food - she fondly recalls the look on his face  after preparing a family meal. She studied architecture, art, and language in college, and did an architecture study abroad program in Italy. She dropped out of school, learned to speak Italian,  packed her bags and a few years later was living the Vita Belle. She totally immersed herself into the food & wine culture. Hanging out with butchers, bread & wine makers – perfecting her “pappardelle al cinghiale”. Her dad and mom retired and opened a small deli. They asked Gina to come back to help. To this day, Gina owns Blue Table, an eclectic wine & cheese bar with a deli to boot. She has catered for Ozzy Osbourne to the Kardashians.

Gina still loves traveling, the arts, oddities, music, and exploring new ideas. She learned to sing with the Lake Sirens. Gina brings energy and perspective, enriching the group's sound and camaraderie. She meets each challenge the Lake Sirens brings with her patented enthusiasm and joy. Her musical journey is the one that brings the other Sirens to tears, as her commitment and perseverance show how far the group has come.

Windy’s lifelong musical journey took an inspiring turn when she formed this vocal band with friends, showcasing their hidden talents. Born from harmonizing at potlucks, the path organically led to their performance at a private party with superstar Rick Springfield, and now an incredible opportunity to perform at Jazzfest with the incomparable Anders Osborne. Windy's husband is renowned drummer Chad Cromwell. Cromwell was producing the New Orlean's treasure Anders Osborne at Olive Grove Sound, when the soulful singer mentioned that female background vocals would be nice. He jumped at the chance to involve the Lake Sirens. The joy and camaraderie the Lake Sirens bring is contagious, and Windy spun it into a way to provide her friends the opportunity of a lifetime, to grace the stage in front of an audience of 10,000+ at Jazzfest.

Beyond her vocal talents, Windy is a professional songwriter with works in Disney shows, films, and has secured numerous sync placements.
